Entrepreneurs in search of workers in Spain

While meeting and working together on the school level, some weird things are going on and connecting our regions and countries. While the crisis goes on and severly has hit the Spanish economy, Vorarlberg local entrepreneurs (Katharina Loacker from the Human Ressources department of Omicron among them) are going to Madrid in search of well skilled workers coming to our province for working.

Interesting links in German and Spanish therefor:

Employment and work places in Vorarlberg

Mr Paul drilling
During the visit in Dornbirn, students were brainstorming about employment und unemployment in Europe, making study trips to different firms in the region, and summing up their impressions. The diversity of employment and work places were discovered by the 42 Comenius students and their teachers.
Some impressions from a lot of working, watching and seeing...

If we make a general view of the labour in the region of Murcia, we see that it is historically situated at some distance from the national average. Analysing the available data concerning the educational system in the region we can reach the following conclusions:
-the budget devoted to education in the region of Murcia is 50% lower than the national average (0'11 % of GDP in the region against the 0'22 per cent in the country)
-Compared with data at the national level, the region of Murcia presents a lower proportion of enrolment in higher education. This could reflect drop out of studies once fulfilled compulsory education.
-When comparing some quality indicators, such as  those  related to the incorporation of ICT into the classrooms, it is observed that the our region occupies one of the last positions of the classification by Autonomous Comunities.
Thus, the profile of the unemployed in the region shows a low-skilled unemployed,  which makes it difficult their  access to the labour market in knowledge-intensive sectors and technology, sectors which seem to be called upon to become the new engines of the economy.
To be more specific, in Mula, our town, similarly to what happens in our region, registrations are mainly done in the most basic levels, leaving aside more advanced types of training such as the baccalaureate or higher degrees of vocational training. The analysis of the level of studies of unemployed people in Mula, shows that only 15 per cent of the unemployed have qualifications above compulsory education.
We must add this situation  to the weakness or strength of different economic sectors, so we  have found  significant job losses in the construction sectors and in agriculture. In contrast, social services (health, education, etc.) and trade are the sectors where the number of unemployed has dropped slightly.
Our survey, carried out on former students of our school, comes to confirm the data above:  they all work at present, having 75% of them a level of high school or similar and a 25% university studies. 75% of them  are civil servants at different levels, and the rest work in the trade.
We can conclude that the work on the improvement and development of the training of the population in Mula by  means of educational institutions will favour their future employability.

A presentation of the economy of Picardie (France)

Hello, we are going to present our region, Picardie, which is situated in the North of France. It is composed of 3 departments:  Oise, Somme and our department, Aisne. In Picardie, there are nearly 2 million inhabitants. Picardie is a young region because the part of the population who are less than 65 years old is important compared with France. Picardie is a region which relies more on manual work and agriculture than the rest of France.

Economic activities + unemployment rate:

The main traditional economic activities are the textile industry and agriculture. Today, Picardie is more agricultural and industrial than the rest of France.
The primary sector amounts to 3.7% of the population and the secondary sector amounts to 19.7% of the population. That’s more than in the rest of France. The tertiary sector amounts to 76.6% of the population, but it’s less than in the rest of France.
The unemployment rate is higher in Picardie than in the rest of France. It amounts to 10.2% here, whereas it is 8.7% in the rest of the country.

The main companies in Picardie:

In Picardie, the main activity in the primary sector is the farming of beetroots and salsifies. In the secondary sector, the main activities are food processing, the production of cosmetics, cleaning products, car parts and agricultural machinery.
The main firms in food processing are Bonduel, Nestlé, William Saurin, and Saint-Louis sugar.
The automotive industry is also very present, with Goodyear Dunlop tires, Valeo car parts and MBK scooters, motorbikes and boat motors.

Foreign trade:

In Picardie, the foreign trade is in deficit, like in the rest of France. Our commercial partners for import and export are Germany and Belgium. We export fragrances and cosmetics, but we import car parts and chemical products. Picardie imports more than it exports, it’s in deficit of one thousand forty million euro.

In Picardy, there are 3 clusters. One of them deals with the development of plants. Companies are connected to universities, and work on innovative projects like biofuels and the enhancement of plants as an alternative to pesticides. Then, there is the “I-Trans” cluster, the transports cluster. The transport of goods and people is growing, so “I-Trans” tries to improve it.
One challenge is to decrease the carbon footprint. Finally, the “UP-tex” business and research center develops new textiles. They are used in different sectors, like health, transport, the building industry, protection equipment, etc.

 Piotr Bukartyk - and I, and I
I like to lie on the sofa, sometimes just I will yawn and scratch myself,
When get bored  I will catch the fly, or else I will stare at the ceiling...
I am relaxing, because I already know how my genius has great power,
with ease I could prove it writing the short story, or the novel...
And I, and I make fun  and who is looking for an art in it quicker will find the addled egg.
Because I, because I make fun, and who is looking for an art, is coming across the addled egg.
Somewhere far there on the high crag  stupid customers are doubly stupid ,
One the air will pollute but the wreath has from the laurel leaves.
Something under the nose is mumbling sulkily, the frozen chicken on the platform,
Contemplating his own work as it has been recorded on the video.
And I.,and I like to lie on the sofa, sometimes just I will yawn and scratch myself,
When get bored I will catch the fly, or else I will stare at the ceiling...
I thought - I will have an inspiration, and now I am having a feeling, that no,
Apparently my unrestricted intellect had different plans.
